Wes McKnight, president of the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA), has announced that James Tinslay, NECA’s National CEO, will be stepping down at the end of the year.
“James Tinslay has been with NECA for over 25 years. He has played a key role in transforming NECA from a loosely associated alliance of state-based operations to one of Australia’s leading peak bodies,” said McKnight. “On behalf of our council, members and staff, I would like to personally thank James for his commitment, contribution and his many achievements over his time with NECA,” he added.
James Tinslay joined NECA in 1988 as the CEO for NECA NSW and moved to the national CEO role in 2007. He has represented NECA with many of the key industry bodies - in particular, Standards Australia, the ACCI, E-Oz and NOLA, and has worked with a number of government advisory bodies.
Tinslay also regularly presents at industry forums and has a much-respected knowledge of regulatory matters.
