Australian SME secures NZ defence contract

Cogito Group, an Australian SME that specialises in digital security and systems integration, has been engaged to assist New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) in planning the implementation of stronger authentication and access-enabled solutions.

The contract follows Cogito’s recent win of a five-year contract to provide level three Public Key Infrastructure and Identity Management Support Services to the Australian Department of Defence.

“These services were required in order to secure high-level access to trophy systems containing highly classified information,” said Richard Brown, CEO, Cogito Group.

The successful implementation of stronger digital credentials will allow for cryptographically sound technology to be integrated while significantly improving the end-user experience and substantially improving the security posture of the enterprise.

“We look forward to assisting NZDF in achieving non-repudiation; authentication; integrity and confidentiality requirements now and into the future,” Brown said.
