The NSW ICAC is investigating allegations that Phillip Cresnar, a former Ausgrid engineer, received benefits worth more than $300,000 from contractors and subcontractors in exchange for assistance in relation to the awarding of contracts and the approval of variations to contracts.
It is alleged that while working for Ausgrid, between 2008 and 2014, Cresnar solicited and received cash and other goods and services including home appliances, electronic equipment and event tickets. The Commission is also investigating allegations that Cresnar disclosed to contractors, and others, confidential information acquired in the course of his official functions.
The inquiry is set down for five days.
