The HARTING Technology Group has been recognised by its peers for its exceptional exchange of experience and knowledge among German companies.
The FAZ Institut bestowed the ‘TOP-Newcomer 2011’ on the family-owned and -managed company in the course of a meeting of the German Society for the Promotion of Research on Standardization at DIN in Berlin in November last year.
Evaluated by the FAZ Insitut and other participants, HARTING was judged to be the most successful firm among the new members of the initiative.
Dr Rainer Jäkel, Head of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology, presented the award to Dr Dietmar Harting, President of the HARTING Technology Group, commenting, “A few pounds of good examples set are worth more than half a ton of good words.”
The Technology Oriented Visiting and Innovation Program (TOP: Technologieorientierte Besuchs- und Innovationsprogramm) aims to promote the exchange of experience and knowledge between large and medium companies (Germany’s Mittelstand). At a range of events in 2011, experts and managers from 100 member companies shared their innovations.
HARTING hosted the first TOP event, “Employees come first - and never stand in the way”, showing how the challenge of customer-specific, individual solutions can be solved in connection with low order volumes.
The members of TOP regularly exchange details of successful concepts in the areas of production process, technology and strategy.
